How to become an Empowered Woman: A Personal perspective

<p style="text-align: justify;"><span>Dr Tavassoli as a director of academic and international affairs as well as a number of professors and students had a meeting with Michelle Carlin the Manager of International Affairs and Marketing Department of Sydney University and his colleague Kaveh Ghezel in the Alzahra University on the third of October 2016. The meeting was on behalf of Accounting department along with Women and Family Studies department.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span>&nbsp;Both parties talked about students&rsquo; recruitment and other academic collaboration.&nbsp; Michelle Carlin said that Sydney University is one of the most prestigious universities in the world with 16 colleges and schools. She added Sydney University ranks 46th in the world and attracts the biggest part of educational budget from the government. The ceremony began with playing Iran's national chorale followed by recitation of verses from the Quran.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span>Michelle Carlin is the Executive Director of Global Student Recruitment &amp; Mobility for the University of Sydney. She leads the division that is accountable for delivering the University&rsquo;s objectives in relation to the students mobility, widening participation; and partnerships for its 60,000 students. Michelle has also directed global marketing and sales teams spanning a number of industry sectors including banking and finance. Prior to her current role, Michelle was the Marketing Director at King&rsquo;s College in London.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span>She began her presentation about her own individual experience and her challenges to overcome the financial problems and difficulties and how to ease her stress to feel like an empowered woman. She said that empowering women to participate fully in economic life across all sectors is essential to build stronger economies, achieve internationally agreed goals for development and sustainability, and improve the quality of life for women, men, families and communities. </span><a href="http://www.unwomen.org/"><span>www.unwomen.org</span></a><span> </span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span>She added that women&rsquo;s empowerment inspires and educates women to regain confidence, power and a greater self-esteem to create an improved life style. She also stated that training courses to advance in the workplaces especially about gender equality is an essential component to progress women&rsquo;s empowerment. </span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span>She believed that today women's movement calls for the end of male power and equal rights for women, however, gender equality rights was not a major in the past days. </span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span>In the end, she thanked the organizers and the participants of the meeting especially Dr Tavassoli, Dr Hanachi and all audiences for listening to her presentation and the meeting.
